My objective is to obtain a curriculum development, professional development, or coaching opportunity in order to further diversify my career as an educator, transcend the school walls, and aid in providing effective instruction in our schools through traditional as well as new and innovative methods and practices.

2006 – Present EBCC Charter School

            Duties include (but are not limited to):

    Drafting up and presenting professional development strategies for teaching staff

    as well as performing in-class teacher observations and furnishing evaluations sighting teacher strengths and weaknesses.

    Supervising the kindergarten and 1^{st grade teaching staff and interns.}

    ^{Working with teachers and parents in order to create alternative individual behavior plans for students having discipline issues.}

    ^{Monitoring and improving on student truancy concerns for grades K-2.}

    ^{Managing student discipline.}

• • ^{Co-designed and implemented the "Balanced Literacy" program for kindergarten and 1st grade.}

    ^{Introduced professional development for the teaching staff throughout the school year with special focus on "guided reading" strategies and the "6 1 Traits Writing Program".}

    ^{Coordinated and organized periodic after school events in conjunction with the "Balanced Literacy Program" recognizing students for their achievements.}

    ^{Helped to facilitate a 98% attendance rate and a drop in the student referral rate of about 16%.}

• • Co-created and implemented new data driven curriculum and instruction through utilizing 3 week cycles of inquiry.

    Co-designed school policy and procedures.

            Duties included:

    Observed teachers in training and created professional development improvement strategies.

    Served as Master Teacher in order to coach, support and motivate new and continuing instructors.

Accomplishments included:

• • Organized the development and display of a family artifact museum in which students acted as docents for the purpose of educating members of the community

    Collaborated with teachers and administrators to integrate Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies for a school wide mural project.

            Duties Included:

    Assisted the school principal in preparation of annual budgets, report completion, and fund development through grants, fund raising events, and outreach efforts.

    Co-developed the school-wide literacy program and served as a literacy coach.

    Created and presented literacy workshops to parents and teachers.

    Maintained an atmosphere conducive to learning for an extremely diverse group of students, some situations involving special education needs, second language learners, and students having behavioral disorders.

* Over ten years experience coaching and collaborating with administrators and staff in order to develop challenging and engaging curriculum driven by numerous ideologies including meta-cognitive instruction.

* Created California Content Standard-based interdisciplinary service learning curriculum that linked classroom learning with community service through school-wide thematic events.
